Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Before submission, please make sure that your article matches the profile of the journal. Articles that do not match the profile or the standards of the journal are desk rejected. All submitted research articles that match the profile of the journal are subject to a double-blind peer review.
EJEEP serves as a forum for studies in macroeconomic theory, economic institutions and economic policies. We encourage submissions involving one or more variants of heterodox economics, especially post-Keynesian economics. The submission of both theoretical and empirical work is encouraged, but the journal does not publish purely empirical papers that are not embedded in a theoretical framework.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for publication elsewhere (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
Please submit for the review process a PDF, including figures and tables and appendices. Figures and tables are either placed within the text at the appropriate points or at the end.
Please note that after acceptance of an article a final version of your article has to be submitted that observes the house style guidelines. Moreover you have to sign an author information form that captures author details, consent to publish, and outlines the terms of publication.
EJEEP is an open access journal. Articles are published under a CC-BY licence, which means that readers and authors can access and distribute articles free of charge. Academic standards of referencing and authorship still apply and the copyright remains with the authors. All articles are published as Advance Access articles after acceptance and are later assigned to an issue.
